“Cerebral Malaria Is Regulated by Host-Mediated Changes in Plasmodium Gene Expression”, the newest article from the Akkaya Lab, is out now! One of the big takeaways from the article is how genetic backgrounds of the host of a malaria infection can potentially change the outcomes of the disease progression. This article outlines potential new pathways for malaria vaccines and therapy approaches.
